A year ago, the organization of the Italian Bike Festival announced with strength and enthusiasm the great news of the 2019 edition. News that, last September, led to a success of over 40.000 admissions in 3 days.
In this moment of national and global difficulty, it is not possible to loudly announce all the improvements made to the event for this 2020 but one thing, without a doubt, can already be anticipated.
When the current emergency is over, the time will come to redesign our lives taking into account the many lessons that isolation and quarantine have forced us to learn.
We will certainly give more value to the time that we will return to spend in the open air and to the quality of all our activities: sports, leisure, tourism.
In this sense, the world of bicycles will have a dual role as a vector of a radical change both in terms of sustainable mobility and in terms of cycle tourism and active holidays.
If there is an important lesson that we can make ours, it is precisely that of continuing the radical change of our habits with strength and determination, turning towards a more sustainable, ecological and less harmful choice of life for our planet.
Italian Bike Festival, in collaboration with the Municipality of Rimini, Tourist Destination Romagna and APT Servizi Emilia Romagna, will have the burden and the honor of transforming this new philosophy of life into a concrete proposal. On the one hand, it will have to give voice to the bike market, hard hit by this global emergency, giving as many people as possible a way to discover the reality of two wheels and its infinite possibilities.
On the other hand, it will have to continue with even more force the work of promoting and supporting cycle tourism and the world of active holidays, which began last year with the construction of the first Tourism Village and expanded this year with the preparation of various dedicated activities.
At the same time, it must firmly continue along the trajectory traced thanks to the feedback received from users who took part in the 2019 edition: transform the event more and more into a real bicycle festival. Pending an improvement in the situation and the future Decrees relating to the Covid emergency, it seems important to us to send a positive and hopeful message by strongly relaunching the presence in Rimini of the Italian Bike Festival, which is currently confirmed from 11 to 13 September 2020.
