The Bianchi Factory Team, made up of expert and talented granfondisti selected by Bianchi, is preparing to face its second competitive season in 2014. Among the most important innovations, the birth of a Bianchi Factory Team MTB next to the Road one which already last year successfully tackled some of the major Italian Granfondo.
The twenty athletes of the Road Team, twelve of which confirmed, coming from eight Italian regions, will be equipped with the carbon models Oltre XR and Oltre XR.2 (family HoC - Hors Category), Semper Pro (B4P - Born For Performance) and Infinite CV (C2C). After the seasonal debut, scheduled for 23 February at GF Laigueglia, the Bianchi Factory Team will meet to form the now characteristic "celestial spot" also at GF Bianchi - Gimondi, on May 4 in Bergamo, and at GF Aprica on 22 June.
The newborn Bianchi Factory Team MTB will count on eleven athletes, ten men and one woman, who will strengthen Bianchi's presence in the world of Marathon. The athletes of the Bianchi Factory Team MTB will use the top-of-the-range carbon models Methanol 29 FS, Methanol 29 SL and Methanol 27 SL and are expected to participate in three important Marathons on the international calendar: GF delle Terme in Montecatini Terme on 6 April, Sellaronda Hero on June 21 and Gimondibike on September 28.
Since the 2013 season, together with the professional road and MTB teams sponsored by Bianchi, the Bianchi Factory Team has been interpreting Bianchi's racing culture and passion for cycling.
The goal of the Bianchi Factory Team is to create a real “celestial spot”, destined to become a point of reference in the amateur sector of Granfondo and Marathon in the space of three years.
