All this will also happen on 8 July 2023, when the 28th edition of the Dolomiti Superbike will take place in Villabassa. Four months before the start, around 1800 enthusiastic mountain bikers from all over the world registered for the renowned event in the 3 Peaks / 3 Zinnen Dolomites region.

Anyone who participates in the Dolomiti Superbike at least once in their life will be fascinated forever by this legendary MTB Marathon. This South Tyrolean cycling event, held for the first time in 1995, achieved the status of a true mountain bike classic in the following 26 editions. A classic that does not fear comparison with any other cycling event. Not for nothing the Dolomiti Superbike was included in the Marathon World Cup in 2006 in 2007, moreover 15 years the Marathon World Champions were proclaimed in Villabassa.
The recipe for the success of the Dolomiti Superbike is both simple and complex. Simple, because you "only" need a challenging course, a fantastic panorama in the Dolomites, a UNESCO heritage site, perfect progress, friendly and helpful collaborators and volunteers and an organizing team constantly oriented towards the development of the event. Complex, because this combination only exists in the Dolomiti Superbike with a visionary and driving force like Kurt Ploner, head of the organizing committee. The consistency with which the Dolomiti Superbike took place is also impressive: in the past 28 years the MTB Marathon has only been canceled once, in 2020 due to the coronavirus.
Also this year you can choose between 3 routes
As for the routes, the organizers follow a proven scheme. So also on Saturday 8 July 2023 the participants will have the possibility to choose between three distances with different degrees of difficulty. The classic route includes 60 km with 1570 meters of altitude. In the medium course, included for the first time last year, 85 kilometers must be tackled with a difference in height of 2360 metres. Finally, the long route is 123 kilometers with a good 3400 meters in altitude. E-bikers are also welcome at the Dolomiti Superbike, who can admire the beauty of the 3 Peaks / 3 Zinnen Dolomites region on their electric bicycles. Cyclists who use gravel bikes can also register for the event.
Speaking of registrations: they are already open on the page https://onreg.datasport.com/suedtirol-dolomiti-superbike-villabassa-i-2023. Compared to last year, the organizers have reduced the registration fee, which until July 1st amounts to 90 euros. Each participant will receive a goodie bag containing a gift, high-quality products from the 3 Cime / 3 Zinnen Dolomites region, information material, the bib number and the timing chip, as well as a voucher for the pasta party.
