While waiting to host the 2021 edition of the MTB World Championships, Daolasa di Commezzadura and Trentino are looking ahead, and are already ready to face a new world championship challenge five years later. The 2026 world championship will involve the disciplines of Cross Country, Team Relay, Short Track, Downhill and eMTB, and will take place from 26 to 30 August.
For the Val di Sole it will be the fourth world championship in less than twenty years. From the first time in 2008, passing through the encore of 2016, to the 2021 and 2026 editions.
The two editions of the World Championships (2021 and 2026) will go alongside the traditional appointment of the Mercedes-Benz UCI Mountain Bike World Cup which will return to Daolasa di Commezzadura starting from the 2022 season. return of the UCI Trials World Cup, scheduled from 2021 July to 30 August in Vermiglio. The MTB and Trials World Cup events in Val di Sole were not held in the 1 season due to restrictions related to the COVID emergency.
