The rain on Saturday night made the bottom of the stages perfect which saw the clear affirmation of the favorite Tommaso Francardo who, riding his Ancillotti, dominated the race by winning all 4 stages as forecast. Conversely, what was much less predictable was the fact that his teammates Tommaso Acerbi and Nicola Grotti finished behind him, filling the podium with Abetone Gravity Team jerseys. As if that weren't enough, the fourth place would have gone to another Abetonese athlete. "It would be" because the good Vittorino Palmieri could only do the race as a forerunner (even with the times regularly timed) due to the rule he imposed on classified athletes in the first 30 of the national ranking to participate in the concurrent national competition of Coggiola.
The same goes for the women where the good Gloria Scarsi (Canyon Collective) excelled but the equally good Nadine Ellecosta would also have deserved the top step of the podium despite having only competed as a forerunner. The Juniors saw the victory of Cristian Buniva (Vigor Cycling Team) with a good margin over Antonio Grassi (TSI Free Bike) second and Mattia Gori (Abetone Gravity Team) third.
Among the elite masters excellent performance by Nicolò Bonardi (Bad School Team) who repeats the victory of Castiglione over Jacopo Del Principe and Davide Viti both of the TSI Free Bike.
Another excellent participation for the very young athletes of the Beginners and Students categories with over 70 kids at the start. In the Allievi category another victory for the Abetone Gravity Team which places Matteo Falcini in first place ahead of Cristian Valenti (Young riderz Pistoia) and his team mate Lorenzo Noferini. Also in the rookies a brace but for the Arezzo cycling school which placed Luca Capacci ahead of Alberto Chiaromanni with Piero Grillo of the Canellese Pedale in third place.
In the masters victories respectively for Giulio Monnecchi (SAM sport) in the M1, Davide Finetto (Teste di Marmo) in the M2, by Marco Mazzi (Bicycleria) who doubles the success of Castiglione in the M3, by Alessandro Bagnoli (I-Mtb) returned to to be a rider after he had been the organizer in Castiglione in the M4, by Simone Giovannozzi (Energy Bike) in the M5 and Graziano Sala (Team Morotti) in the M6.
Among the more than 100 "electric" there was the first time on the top step for Diego Benassi (Monkey Racing Team) who overtook Andrea Paoloni (NSR Factory) and the MotoGP super champion Marco Melandri (Weride Fulgur).
Fantastic award ceremony in front of the fortress of San Piero in Campo where, thanks to all the sponsors, the winners were able to receive not only wonderful Garmin watches and cyclocomputers, but also Ufo Plast clothing and protections as well as Vittoria Tires inserts today particularly happy for the hat-trick of its athletes on the podium. In addition to them, Ethic Sport is also very confirmed, which supplies all the products suitable for athletes' food supplementation, Chamaleon Skin with its protective films for frames, Scrimmage Socks, Prato Freeride, DRC rims, the famous frame manufacturer Pedroni, Esseci stampa , FT pro and the TopTa craft brewery which, as always, floods all the participants with beer.
