Superprestige: Van der Poel loses the pedal and Van Aert takes advantage of it

Fifth round of Superprestige in the historic town of Zolder: once again it's the challenge of Van Der Poel – Van Aert with the latter having the upper hand after a thrilling battle.

An hour of racing at full speed with Van Der Poel and Van Aert giving each other constant counters: this was yet another cyclocross show and yet another show of these 2 champions. After Mol's night, won by Van Aert, and the Coppa di Gavere stage, won by Van Der Poel, still a challenge today. Today wasn't Pidcock's path, too fast to keep the watts of the 2 phenomena.

Ready, go and Van der Poel and Van Aert immediately set a very high pace where all the other big names are already struggling to keep up. Pidcock remains in the chasing group made up of Vanthourenhout and Sweeck.

Today the 2 big names gave the public a good fight, with continuous attacks where neither of them gave up a meter. We arrived at the final sprint, where the public was literally crazy to see the class and power of Van Der Poel and Van Aert.

Van Aert launches the sprint in the lead about 200m from the finish with Van Der Poel immediately behind him. It's a pity that Mathieu loses his pedal and therefore there is no story with Van Aert who narrowly wins over the Dutchman.
