Superlative Day1 at Funky Day… and it's not over yet!

Fantastic day 1 at Funky Day with the climate that everyone dreams of: that is, many people passionate about MTB who want to ride their bikes without worries (on fantastic routes, and here the credit goes to all the Montecreto staff with Pippo Marani in the front line) for then party together with beer, music or just watch some crazy people run on the Pump Track!

The day started with the Enduro Trail, 27km of pure enjoyment! The starters were close to a hundred and the climate was the right one, with a beautiful sun that accompanied all the starters, only mud in the most shaded areas due to the rains of the previous days.

At 15.00 the mini downhill Forza Walter (ed, Belli) with about thirty starters ready to do battle on the Pino Solitario. Our Matteo and Davide are also at the start with the latter collecting an excellent 2nd place in a Hawaiian shirt, not very Funky but promoted all the same! Victory for champion Alan Beggin, who didn't want to miss the great Funky party and the 'Forza Walter' DH race.

Immediately after, just so as not to stay still, here are the qualifications of the Pump Track contest by BikeParkarkitect / 4Guimp, with many young bikers at the start together with other young bikers at heart. The result was a great show with 5 finalists who will compete for the final victory tomorrow. Here, too, fun always comes first with Pippo Marani exceptional speaker. After the qualifying rounds, the track is stormed by the Cobra BMX Team led by Alessandro Barbero, who use the Pump as if it were a dirt track! Jumps, mini superman, manual and so on and so forth. All open-mouthed to watch their feats ...

And the day is not over yet since tonight there will be maccheronata, music and party in the village! With the show of the Cobra Team and Alex Barbero as a side dish… and away with the #funky! We look forward to seeing you tomorrow for another day of Funky MTB.
