A brilliant intuition, a fun format and a great battle for victory are the ingredients of the success of this edition number zero of Superenduro B Road in La Morra.
The bet is won. The Superenduro B Road intrigued, amazed and eventually seduced the 120 competitors who took part in the “enduro experiment on racing bikes”, conceived by Franco Monchiero. Sun, wine and the engaging spirit of this new formula did the rest!

At the start, in the characteristic 6 staggered heats with 1 minute gaps from each other to make the transfers a pleasant ride among friends, sports athletes and enthusiasts but not only. There were also numerous “sector insiders” present in the race, to understand and evaluate not so much the event itself but perhaps more the movement to which the Superenduro B-Road event addresses and is giving voice. Not only Italians, but also important international figures from the United States and France were on the starting line to personally test the format. Now we are sure that they will return home with the knowledge that Italy is still able to innovate.
The beauty of the landscapes of the Langhe, made even more appreciable by the summer day, the incredible hospitality of the territory, seasoned with the delicious food and wine products offered at the refreshment points of the countries touched by the race and the impeccable organization of the Superenduro, have certainly contributed to the satisfaction of the participants. and the success of the event. But, as in any self-respecting bike race, what really excited the public and the media was the battle for victory, exciting and fought up to the last meters.

Stefano Corino and Andrea Bugnone kept everyone in suspense for 7 hours of competition! The gap between the two was always on the edge of seconds and at the finish of the last special stage in the paddock area of La Morra the public was thrilled to know the result. At the arrival of the two rivals there was a moment of suspense as to who was the winner ... times were really tight. Corino climbs on the highest step of the podium for only 2 tenths (over 1h and 15min of timed trials) on Bugnone. In third position is classified Emanuele Poli at +3: 26 from the first.

In women the victory goes to Angela Stefani, in front of the two sisters Elena and Valentina Busin, second and third respectively.
Compliments however go to all the finishers of this first edition of Superenduro B-Road, both for believing in an event still without classification, and for being able to complete a race, yes fun and exciting, but also really hard and challenging: 110km of ups and downs on different terrains with very strenuous stretches such as the long Salita dei Campioni of the PS3 or strongly disconnected such as the central section of the Red Bull special, the PS2.
Even the organizational effort was not indifferent and the support of the technical partners Scott, Ritchey, Pedaled, Effetto Mariposa, Santacruz, Brooxs, Red Bull, Muc Off and the territorial Association RDR, Mangialonga, Cantina Contratto, Cantina Comunale di La Morra was precious. , Barolo Night, Leonardo Piano Physiotherapy Studio and the municipalities of La Morra, Bossolasco, Niella Belbo, Feisoglio, Cravanzana, Borgomale, who not only made the event possible, but also actively participated in the realization.
Now all eyes are on Superenduro B-Road # 2. The feedbacks collected are many and just as different from each other. Calibrations will certainly need to be carried out, some details to be refined, but what until yesterday was a subdued, is now a reality and the curiosity that prompted participation now leaves room for waiting and the desire to be there to discover how the B -Road will surprise us again in the next edition!
