The strongest gravity riders in the world are ready to launch themselves along the Livigno track, in the Italian Alps, on 13 July, to write a new chapter in the history of mountain biking
Milan, March 10 2014 – July 13 of this summer will mark an evolution in mountain bike racing downhill on the occasion of Red Bull Wide Open, where the infinite tricks of Supercross and the exclusive racing formula will test the greatest gravity riders in the world. A competition with an absolutely original concept, which will allow athletes to show all their skills in a single race! It will be a head-to-head challenge that will be held on an innovative supercross-style course and which will decree the best athlete in gravity.
The battlefield is a path that winds over a difference in height of 500 meters along the Mottolino Bike Park of Livigno: Red Bull Wide Open has studied a dizzying course of downhill in true supercross style that will lead the riders to challenge each other in an unprecedented elbow-to-elbow fight, to the sound of speed and acrobatic jumps. Full of amazing gap (jumps) of over 18 meters, huge banks of 6 meters, wallride and technical passages on the rocks, the athletes will attack this new track on which they will compete with batteries of six riders in a head-to-head competition.
