Moena (TN), 11 September 2014 - Countdown to the Val di Fassa Bike-Volvo Cup 2014. The seventh edition of the mountain bike granfondo will take place as always in Moena and will be the official test of the UCI MTB Marathon World Series and the Trek Zerowind Off Road Challenge and Alpine Pearls MTB Cup circuits.
A race of great international appeal that will bring together thousands of enthusiasts and champions of fat wheels. Among these have already confirmed their presence Leonardo Paez, Kristian Hynek, Juri Ragnoli, Tony Longo, Massimo Debertolis, Sally Bigham, Elena Gaddoni, Elena Giacomuzzi and last but not least Daniela Veronesi, the current Italian queen of mountain bike, marathon specialty , the Belgian Roel Paulissen world marathon champion in the years 2008 and 2009 and Lorenza Menapace undisputed star of endurance races.
Theater of the event are the three proven tracks that wind between Moena and Alpe Lusia passing through Soraga, Pozza and Vigo di Fassa, or the "Marathon" of 64,2 km (2760 meters in altitude), the "Classic" of 49 km (2106 meters in altitude) and the "Short" of 33,4 km (957 meters in altitude).
Many new features have been put in place by the Val di Fassa Sport Events Amateur Sports Association, the organizer of the event, together with the Technical Director Cristian Zorzi: from the "Flying Milestones" to the special "Mountain Grand Prix" without forgetting the possibility of participating in the race. with e-bikes on the Short route.
RACE PACKAGE
All members will receive a pair of Sportful arm warmers made with the fabrics produced by Miti and characterized by a single seam, knurled silicone elastic and anatomical fit. Soft, elastic, thermal and with minimum bulk.
HEALTH CARE
It involves the use of ambulances with doctors and nurses and relative fixed First Aid points, one of which is permanent in the finish area. Fixed and mobile points of Radio Aid.

All routes: start of the Pociace climb at 12.45
Marathon route only: start of Tamion climb (Soraga roundabout) at 13.00
Marathon route only: Church of Moena, towards Sorte at 14.30pm
For those who continue with the gates closed, the health and assistance service will no longer be guaranteed and will not be included in the ranking.

There is still time to register! Just go to Moena at the Race Office of the event set up at the sports field on Saturday 13th from 11.30 to 18.30, in conjunction with the distribution of numbers and race packs.
