Mounted between the cranks and chainring of a bike, Ochain allows the chainring to rotate freely for a certain amount of time without the cranks moving, creating a “chainless” feel. With the suspension free to do its job and the drivetrain able to float smoothly, the result is a quieter, smoother bike. Countless World Cup athletes have downhill and enduro use Ochain on many bike models and brands.

“The idea was to have a component that simulates the feeling of a chainless bike with the ability to pedal,” said Fabrizio Dragoni, founder of Ochain.
Since founding the company in 2019, Dragoni and his team have led Ochain through several product iterations. Fabrizio will continue to lead the brand from a new dedicated headquarters in Italy.
Although initially conceived as a racing product downhill, the Ochain team soon realized that, in fact, almost any cyclist could use it. Now you will find it on everything from road bikes downhill to long-travel e-bikes and even lightweight trail bikes.
To celebrate Ochain joining SRAM, Misspent Summers has created a unique newspaper that will be distributed during the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series in La Thuile.
