Sram has produced the first transmission specifically dedicated to E-MTBs, starting from a correct analysis of the forces acting on the transmission, which result from the sum of the powers developed by the engine and the biker's musculature. Sram technicians have revolutionized the concept of transmission with the main objective of significantly improving its reliability.
The most innovative component of the entire transmission is, without a doubt, the 8-speed cassette with 11, 13, 15, 18, 24, 32, 40 and 48 tooth sprockets. It is a cassette compatible with non-DX hubs which has the great advantage of significantly reducing the crossing of the chain which, moreover, can have a greater width, all resulting in a level of reliability far superior to that ensured by traditional transmissions.
The greater power available allows you to manage different spacings between the ratios, in order to widen the range despite the reduced number of sprockets.
The very short ratios, made available by the EX1 transmission, also allow you to overcome impossible climbs with adequate cadences such as to increase the autonomy of the battery.
The gear ratios dedicated to the Bosch motor are mounted directly on the cranks with toothings of your choice between 14, 16 and 18 teeth which are equivalent, by virtue of the internal gear ratio of 2,5 times, to 35, 40 and 45 teeth.
In case of combination with a Brose engine we have a 34 tooth gearbox with 104 BCD spider. The profile of the cranks allows to reduce the “Q” factor.
The command, always with the aim of maximum reliability, allows the single jump of the pinion both in the up and down direction. The gearbox has also been revised for greater reliability.
