The system can be updated through the AXS app like that of all other AXS components.

What engine support modes does the Powertrain offer?
The system offers two modes, to simplify the driving experience as much as possible: Range and Rally. Range mode adjusts the system to allow longer rides by reducing power. Rally mode uses maximum power. Both modes can be fully customized by the rider through the AXS app.

What is automatic shifting?
Automatic shifting allows the rider to concentrate completely on riding and less on using the gearbox. Automatic Shifting checks the rider's pedaling cadence and
tends to keep it constant by shifting up and down the cassette, without the rider having to manually shift with the AXS Pod controllers.

Can I adjust automatic shifting based on my personal driving style?
Automatic Shifting can be customized by the rider depending on personal preferences in riding style and pedaling cadence. The system allows seven different adjustments so that every rider can find the perfect one for their needs.

What is Coast Shift? How does it work?
The Coast Shift system allows the rider to shift without pedaling. The system can rotate the chainring independently of the cranks to change gears when accelerating or decelerating due to braking or changes in the route. It allows you to intuitively switch to more agile gears when you are preparing to stop or to change gear quickly and precisely during a descent without the risk of pedaling empty.

How does the push function work?
Push mode is activated by simply pressing and holding the left Pod controller and slowly moves the bike. The push mode allows the rider to easily push the bike up steep paths or stairs, providing engine support up to a speed of 6 km/h.

What are the functions of the buttons on the AXS Pods?
With two Pod controllers there are four buttons dedicated to controlling the system.
• Top right button, single click: Shift outward
• Lower right button, single click: Shift inward
• Top right button, long press: automatic shifting On / Off
• Lower right button, long press:
pedaling cadence adjustment for automatic shifting.
• Top left button, single click:
adjustment of the assistance mode
• Bottom left button, click or long press: Reverb AXS
• Left top button, press e
pressure maintenance: push mode activation

How do I customize controllers?
You can configure your AXS controls through the AXS app. Connect to your system using the AXS app and configure shift direction, assist mode, seat post. Only the push mode cannot be customized (press and hold the top left button). For safety reasons, if you assign the top left button to the AXS Reverb seatpost, the boost mode functionality is removed.

What transmission types are compatible with the Powertrain?
To take advantage of all the features and benefits of the Powertrain, the system should be paired with SRAM XX, X0 or GX Eagle Transmission. The Powertrain can also be used with mechanical transmissions or Eagle AXS, but riders would thus lose the Auto Shift and Coast Shift functions if they did not use a Transmission group.
