On a splendid spring day Pogno was invaded by 333 enduro bikers coming largely from most of northern Italy, Sardinia and Switzerland.
The coordination of the event masterfully coordinated by the Owls in collaboration with Cico Bikes and Team Locca allowed a day of great sport, fun, adrenaline and healthy competition.
Overall winner of the first round of the Coppa Piemonte 360Enduro circuit was the host Davide Sottocornola who masterfully dominated the race in all 3 special stages. Together with him also his teammate and life partner Chiara Pastore who won the absolute female and with an excellent place overall in the general classification.
In the rear they certainly weren't watching and the very young local Matteo Raimondi was the pupil of Davide Sottocornola in second place overall. The national downhill racer Andrea Gamenara closes in third place followed by the small bull Jacopo Orbassano in great shape. Andrea Toniati is also excellent.
Therefore 4 out of 5 absolute bikers are bikers of the Cico Bikes Dsb Ion Nons team with the only “external” Andrea Gamenara of the Ancillotti Doganaccia team.
Here the link with all results.
The day went well on the whole, especially without accidents, calculating the very high number of starters, some hitches for the myriad of subscribers on Sunday morning and for the formalization of the final results. The last athlete in fact arrived at the Co in the late afternoon but otherwise it was a great day of sport.
Surely the success of the event was dictated by a strong promotional campaign that sensitized many "Sunday pro" bikers who ventured into this regional circuit called "one day low cost" with the aim of improving some details for the next races. .
A paddock area full of teams, exhibitors, bike shops and companies that are beginning to believe in this 360Enduro project. For example, the experimental E-bike category demonstrates this with 5 riders at the start equipped with Bike Haibike Ebike. Next appointment in Roasio VC for the second stage of 360Enduro!
