- 4K technology continues to spread and from today, thanks to the new Action Cam FDR-X1000VR from Sony, it is possible to realize, with the amazing quality of 4K, even subjective video shooting. Simply attach the Action Cam to your helmet or any other convenient spot to capture vivid, ultra-sharp images with four times the resolution of Full HD. In paragliding descents as in mountain climbing, the Action Cam allows you to relive and share your adrenaline-pumping experiences with the utmost realism.
The bright, intense colors and clarity of 4K also add an immersive new dimension to landscapes, restoring each scene with an extraordinary level of definition. The FDR-X1000VR also offers the ability to shoot Full HD video at 120p and HD video at 240p, to highlight every adventure with cinematic slow-motion effects, easily achieved with the free Movie Creator software, included with the camera.
An absolute novelty for an Action Cam, the FDR-X1000VR is capable of recording at high bit-rates, i.e. 100/60 Mbps with 4K 30p resolution in XAVC S format, the consumer version of the professional XAVC 4K / HD format. Thanks to a quality even closer to that of broadcast applications, today it is possible to capture even complex dynamic scenes with breathtaking resolution, such as movements in splashes of water or in very crowded environments.
Both new models boast an enormous 170 ° field of view with a ZEISS Tessar® super wide-angle lens, which offers stunning panoramic perspectives around the center of the action. Even more advanced, the SteadyShot image stabilizer guarantees sharpness and stability when shooting, even when taken on a bike or while hiking in the mountains. Three times more effective than previous models at countering the effects of fast vibrations, it is perfect for aerial shots with Action Cam installed on a drone.
The brand new Loop Recording function of the FDR-X1000VR and HDR-AS200VR models allows you to capture even the unexpected moments. Like many professional-quality broadcast cameras, the Action Cam continuously records in the memory card buffer. When something suddenly happens, for example when a majestic and unexpected wave arrives, just press the record button and the camera will have already captured the opening moments of the scene.
The crystal clear audio then makes the most exciting scenes more complete. The high-quality stereo microphone, integrated on both models, is now equipped with the new Wind Noise Reduction system, which ensures cleaner audio in the shots taken while speeding downhill on a snowboard or bike.
Create Amazing Movies in Moments Who wants to tinker with video editing software when they're fully focused on a great new adventure? The new integrated function, Highlight Movie Maker, selects the best scenes and assembles them It's fast, automatic, and it only takes a few seconds to upload, via smartphone, the edited movies (MP4) to sharing sites like Facebook or YouTube.
With the free Action Cam Movie Creator application, you can then enter the GPS data overlay to view the exact path and use the Video Merge function to simply put together the best of your videos. And, for cinematic results, just add your favorite soundtrack to the edited video. With the new smartphone application for Android and iOS, Action Cam App, editing is a breeze.
Even more mounts and accessories Integrated Wi-Fi allows connection between the Action Cam and the new Live-View RM-LVR2 remote control. Wearable on the wrist and waterproof, the accessory allows you to control shooting angles, start / stop recording, review recorded images and delete scenes you do not want to keep. It makes it super easy to handle the camera when mounted on the helmet or handlebar, and even when wearing gloves. And, by replacing the standard housing door with the optional AKA-DDX1 Dive Door (for the FDR-X1000VR model), underwater focusing is possible up to 60 meters deep.
