From 25 June to 5 July, a crazy Festival will take place in the Soča Valley between Italy and Slovenia, consisting of many events, races and parties, including an enduro race!
The aim of the organizers of the Soča Outdoor Festival is to attract all types of sportsmen to the Soča Valley - from the most trained, to professionals, to amateur sportsmen who just want to spend the weekend pleasantly combining fun and sport.
Therefore we are committed to bringing together the widest choice of sports that can satisfy even the most demanding visitor. For the most demanding runners we have prepared the Soča & Tolminka Trail Run.
And for cyclists? At the festival the main cycling discipline will be the mountain bike marathon, designed for all amateur cyclists who already have some experience with descents on narrow paths. In total, the MTB marathoners will challenge a height difference of 1500 m and a distance of 50 km. We can guarantee that on the track of the MTB Marathon there is fun and enjoyment. The first places will be decided on the first and almost only real climb from Tolmino towards the Razor plan. Almost only beautiful descents and an extremely short ascent to the village of Čadrg follow.
For all those cyclists who need more adrenaline, we organize the SloEnduro competition, also valid for the Slovenian championship. More information on the enduro race will be published later.
Not even those who love flying will be excluded: as part of the festival there will be the speed race on the distance in paragliding and the hang-gliding one. As a good pre-festival warm-up at the end of May we organize a kayak cross competition in Kobarid. On the official website of the event, at the bottom of the article, all the info.
