The Dual Slalom will be "comparable to the parallel slalom of snowboarding and alpine skiing" with a 510 meter long course and a difference in altitude of 155 metres. The event will use the usual Dual Slalom elimination style of competition with runners progressing through the elimination rounds to the final. The Super-G will see runners tackle a 1.957 meter long course with a 600 meter vertical drop. For those who know Châtel, he will be on the slopes of Aity and Stade Linga. The Super-G race serves as a qualifying event for the Dual Slalom. World Champion titles will be available for both Super-G and Dual Salom races in the women's and men's categories, with both races open to all license holders of UCI-affiliated National Federations aged 17 and over. on. Each country can enter a maximum of 15 runners per gender in the event. The UCI currently plans to release the entry list on February 1. The UCI has provided a better look at what to expect next month when riders take on snow races in the Super-G or Dual Slalom format in the French town of Châtel.

We will see something totally new in the world of cycling. It's about technique, snow analysis, reflection and strategy. It will be incredible! – Cédric Gracia

This event will raise the profile of snow biking and build its reputation through the UCI World Champion jersey. The competition will be tough. The winner of the Super-G will not necessarily win the double slalom, which is a little slower but really technical. Racing two at a time can be destabilizing, with the pressure until the end. For the spectators it will be a real spectacle – French Snow Bike Champion, Pierre Thévenard

For those wishing to attend the first Snow Bike World Championships, the races will take place between February 10th and 11th.

GARE PROGRAM

– Saturday 10 February: women's SuperG and men's SuperG (from 10.30 CET)
– Sunday 11 February: double slalom (from 9.00 CET).
