Sina Frei (Switzerland) and Christopher Blevins (United States) are the first XCC world champions at the 2021 MTB World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy. And all 2 riding Specialized.
Fresh from the silver medal at the Olympics, Sina Frei showed up in Val di Sole ready to fight for the world title and got behind Evie Richards, now XCO world champion.
Chris Blevins set 1 record in Val di Sole: first athlete to win 3 medals in a world championship (gold medal in the XCC, a silver medal in the team relay and a bronze medal in the E-Bike race ), and the first American to win in a cross country by John Tomac in 1991.

To celebrate the success of these incredible athletes and their historical achievements, Specialized has created custom painted S-Works Epic frames. The frames are also present in limited editions to the public (available from the beginning of October): only 50 will be produced.
A portion of all proceeds from Epic Frameset sales will go to the OUTRIDE Foundation, an organization dedicated to proving that cycling is good for the brain.
