WATCH THE REPLAY

In the women's race it seemed like yet another solo by Loana Lecomte who dominated the first part of the race, but in the end she lacked brilliance: Loana Lecomte started the women's race in the same dominant way she ran in the first part of last year.

Alessandra Keller and Sina Frei also met, including XC world champion Evie Richards. Pauline Ferrand-Prevot has never been seen: she rode intelligently in the first positions attacking only in the last climb and then winning the race.

Laura Stigger and Evie Richards finished 2nd and 3rd in a tight sprint in the wake of Pauline Ferrand-Prevot. 6th place for the very young Mona Mitterwallner, who should not be a suitable athlete for the Short Track. Martina Berta's beautiful 7th place and Greta Seiwald's 10th place should be noted.

The short track starts badly for Vlad Dascalu who breaks the chain immediately after the start. Henrique Avancini raced like a true protagonist in front of his Brazil. Fluckiger also proved perky.

It proved to be a very tactical race with continuous attacks but never decisive. Maxime Marotte made a nice forcing with 2 laps to go and Nino Schurter at the start of the last lap. But it was Thomas Litscher who unleashed a spectacular attack that put many in crisis and seemed to be the decisive move. But Alan Hatherly managed to recover to win the race. His first career short track. Nice 10th place by Luca Braidot.

MALE ARRIVAL ORDER XCC

At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
