After yesterday's accident, Ella was left with a radial head (elbow) fracture. Fortunately she didn't require any surgery. After such an extraordinary start to the season, this is bad news. The stop will be for a few weeks so no problem for the next round of EWS in America (6/7 August).
Recall that Ella Conolly won the first stage in Tweed Valley.
“Ahi😭😭che roller coaster. I am so bitter about writing this after a great start to the season. Yesterday I fell in training and broke my elbow (the radial head). No surgery was needed, it was slightly displaced but the doctor performed a closed reduction, essentially pushing the bone back together. I felt sweet on the bike and had so much fun, it breaks my heart not to be able to ride.
It needs a few weeks, then we'll see how it is"
