AB Santa Cruz Vittoria Gravity Team announces that its athlete Mirco Vendemmia, reigning Italian champion and one of the top riders on the international Enduro MTB scene, was the victim of a bad accident during a motocross training session.

The impact caused a fracture of the C6 vertebra in a dislocated position and a strong concussion. Despite the severity of the accident, Mirco is conscious, moves his entire body and only has an alteration of sensation in his left hand.
Recovery will require patience and attention, but those who know Mirco know how much determination, discipline and seriousness he takes on every challenge.
The regret for yet another obstacle that came after the long winter preparation work is great, especially after the shoulder surgery in January and the intense work done to be ready for the start of the World Cup season. But as he himself has already written, "I will return to training as soon as possible. I can't wait to fight again, because that's what I live for."
The whole team gathers around Mirco with affection and maximum support, certain that this time too he will be able to transform a fall into a new starting point.
