The two saddles are produced with Greentech, a technology that allows for products with low environmental impact. The saddles obtained with this technology are the Model X, high-performance products assembled mechanically and made without the use of glues and polyurethanes, substances notoriously with a strong environmental impact.
Confirming the international success that these saddles are achieving, the Model X and Model X Comfort+ models received the Design & Innovation Award, the award established by the German company 41Publishing with the aim of shining the spotlight on products in the cycling world with high technological and innovative content.
The products competing to receive this award are tested by a team of professionals and experts in the bike sector who have thus been able to determine the winners of the various categories. By awarding the prize in the Off-road Equipment category, the jury wanted to underline the innovative and sustainable character of the Model X and Model X Comfort+ saddles. The jury's motivation shows the attention drawn precisely by the Greentech production technology, an approach to the construction of cycling saddles that totally eliminates the use of polluting elements, such as adhesives and synthetic resins, and which does not involve waste because the scraps and scraps themselves are reintroduced into the production cycle. The entire production process of the saddle, patented by the Treviso-based company, is also Km Zero since it envisages the involvement of companies within a radius of 15 kilometers from its headquarters: a further element towards the reduction of CO2 emissions into the environment.
The jury was also impressed by the possibility of entirely recycling the saddle when it reaches the end of its life: once the product returns to the company, the rail will be removed and the remaining parts will be reintroduced into the production process of new Model X saddles.
