Born in 2003 from Albino (BG), Sara Cortinovis is enthusiastic about her choice: “Being a young athlete, joining the Santa team is a great opportunity for me. I will certainly find an environment that will allow me to grow further and to have many new competitive experiences. At my side I will have teammates who will be a great stimulus and the important figure of Andrea Tiberi will be an example to follow. A close-knit and cohesive group that has already sent me so much affection and serenity. It is the first time that I am part of such a high level team and this motivates me a lot. I'm sure it will be an unforgettable experience and I can't wait to go to the first race on my Santa Cruz! ”.
Young and talented, these are the characteristics that Team Manager Francesco Bondi was looking for to finally start a new course: “The inclusion of Sara in the team wants to look to the future of our project. Sara has shown that she has good potential and with the support of her team and her staff she will be able to grow comfortably by gaining even more international experience. Our long-term goal will be to form a youth satellite team where young talents can grow and train. With Sara we laid the foundations ”.
After an amazing year that saw her conquer a world bronze, a European silver and the national title among the Juniors, Sara now aims to reconfirm herself in the Under23 category where she will race for the first year. Maxime Marotte has no doubts: “Sara is young but she has already shown what she is worth. Just look at what she did at the world championships in Val di Sole. Then she Sara she gets along really well with karts too - but that's another story! - I have to congratulate the management: focusing on young people is important and is not always an easy or obvious choice for high-level teams. "
With the arrival of Sara now the pink share of the Santa Cruz FSA takes over and Greta Seiwald has no doubts: “I am happy that it is a young girl to join the group. She is a talent. Before her arrival I never got to know her but a few days spent in retreat together were enough to bond a lot. Martina and I could not already imagine the team without her ”.
