Sam Gaze and Malene Degn win the XCO SuperCup Massi

Sam Gaze and Malene Degn start 2023 strong by winning the Shimano Super Cup Massi at La Nucía in Spain.

La Nucía once again hosted a top-level UCI XCO event, hosting the start of the Shimano Super Cup Massi. Sam Gaze is in superb form and adds his second win this season (having already signed his first win in 2023) while Malene Degn won with the new Lapierre Mavic Unity colors.

Sam Gaze proved to be in top form, perhaps too much, as he left the company in the middle of the race and won easily over David Valero, certainly not the last to arrive, who fought until the last meters for 2nd place. conquered against Jofre Cullell and Sebastian Fini.

WOMEN RACE

In the women's category, the match ended with a 1 on 1 between Malene Degn and Linda Indergand. Both proved to be in excellent form fighting for victory in the last lap. Degn wins over Indergand while Jennifer Jackson is in 3rd place.

BEST ITALIANS IN THE RACE

Letizia Marzani (Team Massi) is 15th among women while Roland Thurner (Sunshine Racers) is 38th among men. 19th Jana Pallweber, also of Sunshine Racers.
