Certainly an impactful title, as the times require, but it reserves a grain of truth. Sam Gaze, a true and authentic phenomenon able to beat Schurter in 2018 in the 1st stage of the World Cup in his 1st year as an Elite, is returning after some dark years.

It is always nice to see these returns, since it is never pleasant to see a strong athlete not being able to return to the positions that maybe until a few years ago were the norm.
Sam Gaze finished 11th after starting from 66th position, losing a lot of time in the 1st lap and in the relative launch. Too bad because, times in hand, he ran faster than the winner Victor Koretzky!
He set the fastest time in 4 of the 6 laps, continuing to overtake athletes. It's a shame that Gaze looks like he won't be competing in the last World Cup event in America at Snowshoe. The bright spot is that the New Zealand talent is back so we're expecting him back next season.
