We do not discuss the usefulness or otherwise of this bonus but we focus on exposing the facts. This is a bonus for those who buy bicycles, e-bikes, electric scooters and, in addition, subscriptions to public transport, shared or sustainable electric mobility services.
Let's start by saying that the bike bonus becomes a tax credit (a tax credit is defined as a credit towards the State which reduces the amount of debts or taxes due and in some cases is returned through the tax return).
For 2022 this is no longer a refund or a shopping voucher but a tax credit up to a maximum of 750 euros and can only be used by people who have made the purchase in the period between 1 August 2020 and December 31, 2020.
REQUEST FOR SCRAPPING
To access it, it is necessary to have delivered an old M1 category vehicle (i.e. a car with up to 9 seats) for scrapping. The scrapping must have taken place in the same period in which the purchase of the new vehicle was made.
HOW TO REQUEST THE BONUS
The application for the 2022 bicycle bonus can only be submitted electronically from 13 April 2022 to 13 May 2022, by the taxpayer himself or by his delegate. it is a question of indicating the amount of expenses incurred and the tax credit requested.
