The registrations, officially closed at the end of April for organizational reasons, have however allowed some additional athletes to filter through. In this way, 300 bikers have been reached, the maximum threshold that the organizers have set themselves in order to ensure each of them, and their companions, the best hospitality and also practicability, in safety, of the race tracks.

As always, the Rally di Romagna takes place over 5 stages, with departure and arrival always fixed in Riolo Terme (RA). A natural union between the Romagna Bike Grandi Eventi and the spa town; a relationship that over the years has helped, and not a little, both parties to grow, also in terms of relations with the world of cycling. Precisely by virtue of these relationships and relationships, which Romagna Bike Grandi Eventi has always cultivated, and in the round, in the world of cycling, it was possible to build on the territory, and only looking at the last few years, the 2020 World Championship, the Italian 2021 Championship , the training week of the Italian Mtb National Team, the presence from this year of Flavio Zappi's Cycling Racing Team / Cycling Academy, and the next international U23 race, scheduled for June 8, organized by ExtraGiro.
To return to the event, this once again bears the name of Saint-Gobain, a multinational with Italian headquarters and Pisa and plants also in Casola Valsenio, which deals with the production and distribution of material for safety and living comfort. Then respected the script that wants the prologue on the very first day, an exploratory and very fast stage, starting in the afternoon of the first of June. From the following day, and until the end of June 5th, the lengths and differences in height of the routes increase. Also respected the division, now standard, between Italian and foreign athletes, with a proportion of 65% against 35% in favor of the latter. In particular, this edition sees protagonists, in addition to Belgium (41 participants) and Germany (25), a considerable representation from Denmark (28). There is no shortage of bikers from Switzerland, Holland, Ukraine, France, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Croatia and the Czech Republic.
Also respected a further proportion, typical of the Rally di Romagna, between the handful of athletes looking for victory and a certainly greater number who will want to enjoy routes, views, refreshments along the route and the final one. Thanks to Saint-Gobain, some spectacular passages inside the gypsum vein have also been confirmed for this 2022,
Among subscribers and accompanying persons, also in this 2022 Riolo Terme is preparing to host about 500 people, which, added to the Rally collaborators, bring the fixed and permanent presences in the city to over 600. It is also worth remembering that most of the athletes, especially foreigners , chooses the Rally di Romagna as an intermediate moment of a longer stop in Italy. Arriving in Riolo Terme a few days before, and returning home a few days after the Rally, they ensure a very interesting impact, even economically, on the territory.
Last point, that of departure and arrival, Parco Pertini, where the Hospitality Area, the bike wash area and the Partner Village will also be set up.
To close, the novelty of this year. The ebike tour, open to all, on the roads of the Rally. 3 stages, with specialized guides who will take the members along the race routes; without a stopwatch, with stops in the most panoramic points and in the same refreshment points scheduled for the athletes.
