The third stage of the Specialized - SRAM Enduro Series (which had Terlago as its inaugural stop) made a stop in Samerberg in Bavaria. Gorgeous weather and tracks up to par.
The Bikepark in Samerberg hosted the Specialized - SRAM Enduro Series for the third time in a row. The 24km circuit included five challenging and fun special stages. 335 athletes registered! The first part brought the athletes inside the Bikepark with a very fun PS with the presence of a walkway and wooden platforms. But then the remaining stages took place on completely natural paths. The transfer to the last stage was the hardest with 500m of altitude difference but then the panoramic view of the Chiemsee made you forget the fatigue.
The prologue took place on Saturday with the victory of Michal Prokop (CZE - Specialized), who dominated. In the women's category it was Anneke Beerten (NED - Specialized) with a 7-second lead who won.
For top riders, the race started early: Sunday at 8:30 am. In addition to well-known German riders such as Ludwig Dohl (GER - Cube Action Team), Fabian Scholz (GER - Focus Trail Team) and Petrik Brückner (GER - Radon Flow Team), there were also many international athletes such as Prokop and the Austrian Matthias Stonig (MS Mondraker). Among women, in addition to the super favorite Anneke Beerten, at the start Ines Thoma (GER - Canyon) and 16 year old Raphaela Richter (Radon Factory Racing).
In the Pro Men category, Michal Prokop dominated not only the prologue but also the race on Sunday. With a total time of 12: 47.15 he was able to position himself ahead of Matthias Stonig.
