Introduced the new eMTB mode for Performance Line CX

A natural riding feel and maximum control for the most demanding mountain bikers.

Bosch eBike Systems is launching a new riding mode for the Performance Line CX, specially developed to meet the needs of eMountain bikers. The eMTB mode ensures optimal driving feel and support on different types of terrain. Depending on the pedal pressure, the progressive assistance of the engine is automatically adapted to the rider's riding. Without the need to change the assistance mode, you can concentrate fully on the route, tackling steep climbs and rough terrain with ease.
The new eMTB mode will be available from resellers, as a software update, from July 2017.

A dynamic guide - from the first start
The eMTB mode replaces the previous Sport mode and is available in two versions: Tour and Turbo. With maximum torque of 75 Nm, the motor increases performance between 120 and 300 percent and delivers ideal power at any time, even at low pedaling frequencies, without having to change support levels. The intensity of the assistance depends on the pressure on the pedal, starting with a light pressure and maximizing the support as the degree of pressure increases. The system responds almost instantly and the cyclist can experience the “natural driving sensation”, when starting and accelerating. As soon as the pedal pressure decreases, the electric assistance is automatically decreased, in order to maintain maximum control especially on the winding sections of a path.

Better control in the most demanding driving situations
Thanks to the modifications made to the electric assistance actuation, the eMTB mode allows cyclists to travel on particularly demanding terrain. The eMountain bike is easier to control at low speeds and at the same time the more technical segments and obstacles are easier to tackle. The level of assistance ensures optimal traction at all times, even in difficult conditions such as slippery or wet surfaces. With eMTB mode, the rider maintains the flow - even uphill. The eMTB mode will be available in dealers as a software update from July 2017. All eBike models fitted with Bosch Performance Line CX can be updated with the eMTB mode.
