In the splendid descent of Villa Winckles in Tregnago, the Official line-up (in Italy) of the Focus brand was presented, a German brand that in recent years is becoming more and more successful. Under the name of Focus XC Italy Team we find four athletes who respond to the name of: Lisa Rabesteiner, Andrea Righettini, Beltain Schmidt and Fabian Rabesteiner. A young team full of talent that has a great desire to grow. Also present at the evening were the top leaders of the Italian FCI: Johann Pallhuber and Renato Reidmuller.
The only female athlete is Lisa Rabesteiner, the Italian Under23 champion who after last year with Team Colnago decided to move to Team Focus, where her brother Fabian also plays.
Andrea Righettini is one of the most crystalline talents we have in Italy but in recent seasons he has shown that he is in the front but never the true ruler of the category, this year being the last year among the U23s he is called to redeem. The curtain that has been created between him and Schmidt is beautiful with Righettini who points out how the next year 2015 is hard to win the Italian U23 (passing between the Elite) and Schmidt who replies: "as long as they don't snitch you".
Fabian Rabesteiner is the most experienced rider of the team. He reports that his will be a year to see day by day but the aspiration to do well in the World Cup is there. Last Sunday a great 9th place has already arrived at the 1st round of the Internazionali d'Italia. Finally, the youngest who responds to the name of Beltain Schimdt, former Italian champion among the Juniors and world champion in the relay. Last year it was a somewhat dull year but his age is of his age and for sure this year there are all the conditions to return to the limelight.
