Among the athletes at the start of BMW HERO Südtirol Dolomites 2024 there will therefore be one of the names who have made the history of international cycling.
After having participated in the first edition of the HERO Abu Dhabi Hudayriyat Island last February, the Slovakian Peter Sagan has confirmed his presence on the starting grid of the next HERO Dolomites scheduled for 15 June 2024 with departure and arrival from Selva di Val Gardena.
Sagan, World Champion for three consecutive years, decided to test himself with the hardest mountain bike marathon in the world, made famous by its race routes designed around the Sella massif, in the presence of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A participation that makes it official how the Slovakian wants to go back to pedaling, just like in his early days, on a mountain bike.
«The presence of the legend Peter Sagan is a great honor for us – comments Gerhard Vanzi, president of HERO Dolomites – because having among our starters one of the athletes who made the history of cycling can only be a source of great pride and I am sure that his presence will be a great inspiration for all our competing athletes."
Peter Sagan, today the standard bearer of Specialized Factory Racing, will be at the BMW HERO Südtirol Dolomites 2024, also attending some events and initiatives included in the rich program of the HERO Bike Festival, including the opening evening HERO Charity Night.
