Nino Schurter he is not tired and at 36 he continues to set records: in Val di Sole he was unable to overtake Julien Absalon in total number of successes in the Cup, but it will be his goal for next season. At the moment he is tied with the French talent (33 wins).
But once a record is dead, another is made: ok, the saying isn't quite like that, but for Schurter it seems so: this year he became the oldest rider to win a world championship (36 years old). But he doesn't stop there: he is the first biker to win 8 editions of the World Cup (2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022).
Let's go and see all the general results of the World Cup after the last stage in Val di Sole. Excellent 3rd place for Luca Braidot among the Elite to seal a fantastic season. Also among the U23 women, another Santa Cruz FSA Pro Team athlete grabbed the podium, namely Sara Cortinovis.
