The start-up MLK Innovazione srl, on the occasion of the Italian Bike Festival which will take place in Misano Adriatico on 15 - 16 - 17 September 2023, will officially present the new Gravel bicycle under the "Ornus" brand which is characterized by the use of wood as a frame construction material, introducing a new vision in the construction technique that intends to revolutionize the cycling sector and more generally sustainable mobility.

The realization of the wooden frame is the result of years of research, development and passion. A unique combination of ingenuity and Italian design, craftsmanship and technological innovation. The wood, carefully selected for seasoning and fiber characteristics, is subjected to strict quality controls and transformed through an innovative construction process that maximizes durability and performance.
In combination with patented proprietary technology and aeronautical-derived construction techniques using numerically controlled machines, the Ornus frame fully complies with the highest standards of resistance, durability and structural redundancy.

The geometry of the frame, the orientation of the fibres, the stratification and arrangement of the same are designed to guarantee an immediate response and achieve levels of excellence in terms of torsional stiffness and lightness.
The internal connectors, made of special aluminum alloys for aeronautical applications, make the structural nodes safe and stable to tackle dirt paths, rough roads and mixed terrain in safety and full control.
Wood already offers a natural ability to absorb vibrations, having a high internal damping factor. The chassis architecture is designed to improve these characteristics, bringing riding pleasure to the highest levels even on long rides, especially on bumpy or irregular routes.
