The proprietary OneUp SPD-compatible engagement system, combined with dedicated cleats, ensures a solid, precise shoe-pedal interface and a consistently secure release.
The XC Clips are based on the OneUp SPD compatible engagement system, completely redesigned to offer:
- Increased release voltage adjustment range
- Improved cleat stability compared to traditional SPD mechanisms
- More compact and secure connection feeling
- During peak intensity—standing sprints, aggressive relaunches, or technical descents—the connection remains stable and precise. Integrated release ramps ensure an intuitive and consistent release at 12° of rotation, with 5° of angular freedom (float) to promote natural foot movement and reduce joint stress.
Each pair includes cleat spacers, useful for optimizing the shoe-pedal interface based on your setup.
The XC Clips are internally composed of:
igus™ internal bushing
Two external cartridge bearings
Chromoly steel axle
Double seal system on the axle for greater protection from external agents
The XC Clips share the same reset kit as the Wave and Clip pedals in the OneUp range, making maintenance and spare parts easier to find. The oversized axle ensures strength and reliability even in the most demanding conditions, from XC racing to technical marathons.
