After an incredible year 2022 in MTB (and gravel) with 4 world champion titles (XCM, XCO, XCC and Gravel), Pauline Ferrand-Prevot has not had that ease of results in cyclocross. Although her goal was not to excel in cyclocross too, in her heart, however, we think she hoped for it, she was the victim of a bad fall at givere: quite a few stitches in the leg for a bad gash on the shin.
Obviously I would have liked to participate in the cyclo-cross world championships, but my leg didn't heal as fast as we would have liked. So I made the decision, together with my coach and the team, to focus on my recovery so that I can come out strong and fit for the start of the MTB season in April. I can't be disappointed with how this season has gone, to have won four rainbow jerseys is truly incredible. Becoming part of this team has been incredible, everyone has welcomed me very well and I already feel at home. I'm really looking forward to having some free time and then coming back and seeing what we can do together for the rest of the year - Pauline Ferrand Prevot
Pauline can only be truly proud of what she has achieved. She was a great addition to the team and we were all impressed with her work ethic, attitude and knowledge of her. Now it is important that she takes time to recover so that she can come back stronger and ready for 2023 – Rod Ellingworth, assistant DS Ineos Grenadiers
