After winning two races in 2022, the Bibione Bike Trophy and the Lignano Bike Marathon, Nicola Taffarel is ready and motivated for next season. The 23-year-old from Vittorio Veneto completes the Cannondale MTB Professional Team rooster which announces his latest purchase for the 2023 season.

Nicola Taffarel is a young runner who has spent the last two seasons in a very solid way, with excellent international results and was called up by the national team for the national team at the last European Marathon Championships in the Czech Republic.

In general, among his best results we can note the victories in the 60 km courses of the Südtirol Dolomiti Superbike and the Hero Südtirol Dolomites 2021 and the six podiums he conquered in the 2022 season, moving up to the Elite category.
With an impressive sequence of victories in the youth categories, Taffarel was soon identified as an emerging talent in mountain biking. After the first two titles of Regional Champion won as a Rookie, when he moved up to the Students he achieved his first national podiums in the races of Montichiari and Nalles in 2014, climbing to the third step of the podium also at the Italian Youth Cross Country Championship in Bielmonte and the following year at the Italian Team Relay Championship.
In 2017, in his last year as a Junior, with the Team Damil-Trevisan, he achieved the big goal at the Italian Team Relay Championship and after the good performances offered in the national races with which he ranked second in the final ranking of the Italian Internationals, he wore the blue jersey at both the World and European Cross Country Championships.
After completing his first season among the Under 23s, closing with the tenth place at the Italian Cross Country Championship, the young biker from Treviso turned his attention to marathons and gained confidence in long distances with the second place at the Pedalonga Marathon Bike. A series of good results opened up new prospects for him with the team directed by former Marathon World Champion Massimo Debertolis.
In the competitive year conditioned by the pandemic, Nicola Taffarel climbed the podium four times, with as many top-level international results such as fifth place in the general classification at the Andorra MTB Classic-Pyrénées and Capoliveri Legend Cup, sixth and eighth in France respectively at the Roc Marathon and the Roc d'Azur.
After a year of acclimatization, the long distance races opened the doors for him, the awareness with which Nicola runs them brings him two victories at the Bibione Bike Trophy and Lignano Bike Marathon in 2022 and more capital trials, with five podiums in the races held in Italy, the third place in the Czech Republic in the Rusavska K50 and the toast at the Vuelta a Ibiza MTB for the fourth place in the general classification, after three days spent in the very first positions of the Iberian stage race.
