On the heels of CORE 1 and 2 completely in alloy, the CORE 3's high modulus carbon frame includes the same features and geometry as its aluminum counterparts. 29″, 170mm of travel front and rear, a flip chip for geometry adjustment and bottle cage (never underestimate it) available. The MX variant aims to please bike park fans, with shorter chainstays and more progressive kinematics: and of course the classic 29″ front and 27,5″ rear mullet format.
The 29″ model increases chainstay length for improved climbing performance while providing a more linear curve for maximum traction. Both the MX and 29″ versions are also compatible with 180mm forks which do not distort the geometry.
The suspension is the best that can be found on the market on the RockShox side: ZEB Ultimate with Charger 3 cartridge and HSC / LSC adjustments, updated Debonair + spring. In combination with RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate, the V4L kinematic saves the day and now features external HSC and LSC adjustment.
Further finishing touches come in the form of an SDG Bel Air 3.0 saddle, a YT Postman dropper (with up to 200mm travel for the size XXL), SRAM Code R brakes (one of the flaws), and an E13 TRS plus chainguide. Crankbrothers Synthesis Enduro wheels are a great choice. Below are the 2 versions, mullet and 29, offered in a single colour.
