EXT Racing Shox is proud to announce the launch of a new line of MTB shock absorbers to meet the demand for high performance combined with a new design for easier installation.
Available from February 2019, the technology of ARMA V3 and STORIA V3 is a monotube design that encompasses all the strong points of the previous models: no cavitation, greater control and support.
In the new V3 models the diameter of the tank has been increased in order to obtain the lowest possible working pressure, with the result of obtaining an even greater sensitivity compared to the already high standard of the previous models; all this translates into the field with greater traction and grip, and a wheel glued to the ground.
The internal design of the stem has been improved to increase its mechanical resistance to stress.
STORIA V3 and ARMA V3 use a new high flow valve for a more accurate setting of High and Low Compression speeds, in addition to a proprietary technology that automatically separates the compression and return registers, with the result of making each single totally independent regulation.
The piston design has been further improved to increase dynamic efficiency and reduce friction. The rebound adjuster has been redesigned to allow a quick and easy spring change.
Each rider can choose a full custom calibration based on the suspension system, rider weight and riding style. With the same wheelbase and spring hardness, the EXT engineers managed to remove a further 25 gr. from the already considerable weight of the previous models.
The primary goal of STORIA V3 is to have easier housing on most frames; to this end, the shock absorber has been completely redesigned, and can be purchased in both "metric" and "imperial" sizes, and with a classic "eye to eye" or "trunnion" assembly.
STORIA V3 adopts the same hydraulics as ARMA. Like the previous model, STORIA V3 offers the revolutionary LOK system, which allows for a completely separate lock-out system, now totally renewed with a new design, a more progressive opening, and a totally silent operation.
In order to allow each rider to use a softer spring and increase traction and grip, the EXT engineers have imported the HBC (Hydraulic Bottom-out Control) system, capable of developing more than 50% of hydraulic power only in the last part of the useful stroke, allowing riders to avoid any possibility of unwanted bottom-out.
This technology allows the use of thinner limit switches, increasing the amount of total useful stroke. STORIA V3 is designed to meet the needs of riders who want to combine the advantages of a stable platform shock with great support in the last few mm of travel, combined with the extreme sensitivity of a spring system.
