After the DOGMA XC's triumphant debut at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Nové Město, Pinarello will present a new hardtail version of its revolutionary cross-country bike at the UCI Cycling World Championships.
Source: press release
The DOGMA XC is currently ridden exclusively by INEOS Grenadiers racers Tom Pidcock and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, and both will be racing the hard tail version representing Great Britain and France respectively in the events Cross-country Short Track and Olympic in Scotland.
Both athletes have been actively involved in the development of the DOGMA XC, with Pinarello having produced this latest incarnation which will allow them to excel on any XC terrain. This latest full carbon hard tail version offers maximum lightness, stiffness and responsiveness from the rear triangle that will suit the fastest race circuits.
The rear triangle uses a patented asymmetrical design with a reinforced left side, allowing the bike to counterbalance the higher forces applied on the opposite side of the drivetrain. This results in a more balanced energy transfer, improved speed and traction.
Asymmetry has also been maximized in other areas of the frame, with the chain and upper stays pushing this concept to the next level to withstand the powerful accelerations that are provided in mountain bike racing. cross country elite.
The custom-designed, fully integrated cockpit saves weight and offers greater steering precision than a two-piece alternative. Fully integrated cable routing is also incorporated, as is a specific headset bearing that features an internal 60° stop to prevent excessive handlebar rotation.
Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, rider of INEOS Grenadiers and the French national team, said: “The new DOGMA XC hard tail frame is stiff, fast, light and responsive, and it's fantastic to ride. I have flown on this bike, mostly uphill. I requested a hard tail version while working for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and am grateful to Pinarello for developing this frame and delivering it so quickly.
The DOGMA XC proved to be an instant success as Pidcock rode the full-suspension version to victory in both the Elite Cross-county Men's Short Track and Olympic events at Nové Město, with Ferrand-Prévot also triumphing in the French Cup.
