An aluminum version, the Rise Hydro, has since been released, offering a larger battery and lower cost while maintaining a respectable weight. Now it's time to upgrade the carbon version. The main change is that Orbea has made the frame about 400g lighter than the previous carbon Rise. This gives the lightest version a full bike weight of just 15,9kg (claimed). The disconcerting fact is that it is also lighter than some non-motor trail bikes.
FEATURES

• Frame and battery ~400g lighter than previous RISe
• Routing of headset cables

ASSEMBLIES

Assuming the same battery capacity as the old Rise carbon (360Wh), but the new bike is also compatible with the Hydro model's 540Wh battery. Choosing the larger battery adds 800g to the weight.

MOTOR/BATTERY
The Rise uses Shimano's EP8 motor which delivers 60Nm of torque (up from 85Nm) to help improve efficiency and range with a smaller battery. The big change is the battery: weighing in at 1,9kg, the smaller 360Wh version is 300g lighter than the previous Rise, making up most of the weight savings. The new battery also has holders built into the battery; these save more weight and also make it compatible with the 540wh battery, first seen in the Rise Hydro.

GEOMETRY
The geometry hasn't changed from the original Rise: an all-round Trail bike without exaggerating towards enduro. To be precise, only the LTD model has a claimed weight of less than 16kg. The mid-range bikes have 36mm Fox 150 forks instead of the 34mm Fox 140.
