New ORBEA Alma 2025: Hardtail with special shapes

Orbea's innovative hardtail features new frame technology to ensure a smooth, controlled ride.

The frame, equipped with X-Fader technology, is flexible and efficient and works constantly to absorb vibrations, eliminate fatigue and allow you to perform at your best.

Careful control of tube profiles and materials, combined with Orbea's X-Fader technology, helps absorb trail vibrations that increase fatigue on long rides. Several aspects contribute to the Alma's pure feel.

X-Fader acts like a micro shock absorber with the contoured seat tube, designed to absorb vibrations and energy-sapping impacts, so you can ride harder, faster and further. It's not just about comfort, it's about staying focused and in control when it matters most.

The optimized rear triangle with flattened seat and chain stays increases vertical compliance and resists lateral flex for improved power transmission, all made with Orbea’s Advanced Carbon. This new carbon construction reduces vibrations and provides the best ride performance while keeping weight under control; a size medium painted frame without components weighs 1.080 grams.

For increased grip and a smoother ride, the Alma features wider tire spacing, up to 2,4”. This not only provides more air volume, but also increases the contact patch.

GEOMETRY

With Orbea’s “No Compromise Geometry,” you can count on greater stability and control. The combination of a 67º head tube and generous wheelbase, plus a 75,5º down tube for improved pedaling dynamics, especially on steep climbs, results in an overall solid ride. Other notable geometry features include a shorter seat tube that exposes more of the seat post for better absorption, and a lower standover height for more room to move the bike from side to side during sprints or corners. All of this is designed around a 110mm fork, the sweet spot for bump absorption and low weight.

Integration: Full of features that make driving easier

The Alma lets you focus on the trail while it takes care of the details; this bike is packed with features that make your ride smooth.

The new integrated carbon cockpit weighs 265 grams and provides greater control and improved SIC integration with up to three cables. Available in a 760 mm width, -17º stem angle and 75 or 90 mm length, with Orbea's integrated computer mount.

The lightweight, infinitely adjustable OC MP10 seatpost offers 100mm of travel, with complete control over saddle height, not limited to just two positions. The clamp is compatible with all rail systems. All this and only 419g.

With Orbea's new Squidlock remote, everything is at your thumb's reach. The two levers control the seatpost and allow three shock lockout positions without taking your hand off the handlebars. Compact and reliable, Squidlock integrates with Shimano or SRAM brake clamps and works with many suspension systems.

Other essential features include the Smart Clips, an innovative detail that makes it possible to fully insert a dropper seatpost, allowing a bottle cage to be attached to the seat tube without metal inserts in the frame. They are removable and discreet when not in use. The Alma also features the new service window, a hatch on the down tube that allows easy access to the cables inside the frame, making maintenance easier.

ORBEA ALMA VERSIONS

The Alma is available in 4 frame sizes and 5 models, from M-LTD to M50, offering many different options. In addition, Orbea has the industry-leading MyO program, which allows you to adapt the configuration of the Alma to your needs and design your own color scheme. You can also choose from 3 color ranges: Cobalt Blue (gloss)/Carbon Raw (matte), Seaweed Carbon View (matte-gloss) and Mars Red (matte)/Wine Red Carbon View (gloss).
