HYBRID technology Hybrid is the exclusive technology designed by Michelin and JV International for those who want performance and sustainability. The rubber compound sees the integration of the production waste of the soles through a new molding process. The waste undergoes a conditioning treatment that allows the creation of micro-pellets which are then inserted into the mixing of raw rubber useful for printing new soles. The balance between a low environmental impact production and a highly performing product is the peculiarity of this technology which, already established among the urban and running models, will be presented on a cycling sole for the first time at the Frankfurt fair. NORTHWAVE - TAILWHIP ECO EV (Hybrid) The new Tailwhip Eco Evo is a high-performance, cruelty-free and bio-based MTB shoe made by Northwave in collaboration with ACBC and Michelin. This shoe, faithful to its original version, which has long been present in the Northwave catalog, is renewed by dressing now in green, pre- and post-consumer recycled materials. Among these stands out the flat sole signed by Michelin, made with hybrid technology, which reuses rubber scraps from the production of the same soles, guaranteeing maximum grip on the pedals and at the same time minimizing the impact on the environment.
CARBON RUBBER technology designed for the off-road cycling segment, the carbon rubber technology makes the soles adherent on the most demanding surfaces such as rock, mud and roots. JV International for the Michelin brand has been able to universally the Dual Layer rubber modules (double density) that make up an essential tread with a carbon base thanks to a special lamination system. The result? A particularly light sole with excellent grip
