Fulcrum Red Zone 5 is the new wheel designed for the practice of cross country and marathon, while Fulcrum Red Metal 5 is designed for use in a trail context. Different features for different needs, but the same design philosophy. The goal of the Fulcrum engineers was to develop two products that are perfect for training and free time, resistant and reliable for transversal use.
Like a pair of sneakers, versatile, resistant and with an excellent quality / price ratio, Fulcrum Red Zone 5 and Red Metal 5 are able to face many different situations and are perfect for intense daily use. From use in training to racing, these wheels can accompany the rider in the most diverse situations, including descents and bumpy sectors, on which resistance plays a key factor.
HUBS
The hubs are new and now share the same shell as those used for the bigger sisters Fulcrum Red Zone Carbon and Red Zone 3. They differ instead in the axle and in the type of bearings: for Red Metal 5 and Red Zone 5 sealed bearings are used, long-lasting and effective, with the possibility of micro-adjustment of the game through a special register ring.
2-WAY FIT READY
Fulcrum Red Zone 5 and Red Metal 5 feature a 2-WAY FIT READY rim with a height of only 18.6 mm and a new asymmetrical section, specially redesigned to balance the spoke tensions in an optimal way.
To vary and distinguish the two products is the width of the rim, increased compared to previous versions, to allow use at lower pressures and therefore improve traction and control in the most extreme conditions.
Fulcrum Red Zone 5 features a 27mm internal channel with a weight of 1840g, while Fulcrum Red Metal 5 boasts a 30mm channel, for a total weight of 1890g.
Both models are delivered with tubeless tape already installed and equipped with tubeless valves, therefore ready for use after being rubberized. The maximum total weight for the system (rider + bike) is 125 kg.
