According l 'interview by MTBCult.it, Franco Monchiero is thinking about a new Enduro format since the discipline is becoming too close to a race Downhill. "Twenty years ago, enduro was born with the idea of being placed halfway between the world of downhill and that of the cross country. In between these two extremes there was no regulated discipline, not even bicycles existed!” reports Monchiero, “More extreme races require more “downhill” bikes, with large forks, more open geometry and a considerable weight, which are increasingly less pedalable on the climbs.
Climbs that, more and more often, are "mechanized" distorting more and more the concept of completeness and versatility that was the basis of enduro. "
Let's stay connected: but in the meantime, if we look carefully at the FCI calendar, we already notice some "dubious" races on the calendar, like the 13/14 April in Lacona (Elba Island) that mixes electric and muscular in 2 days. Let's stay connected.
