RIDER SYNERGY

The Rise is a bike designed to enhance your trail experience and let you live in the moment. Minimalist, elegant, and with maximum integration, without bulky components, to make you go beyond the moment, bringing you in close contact with the paths and nature. Without distractions that prevent you from focusing on the trails and the bike experience, following four pillars: power, range, interface and weight.

POWER RS

Working side by side, at Orbea we focused on designing the power delivery and battery system, while Shimano took care of modifying the new EP8 engine to RS specification, to create a new engine called the Shimano EP8 RS.

The maximum torque of the EP8 RS engine is 60 Nm and the power map of the engine is designed to adapt to pedaling and cadence, in a natural, yet energetic way. The motor will deliver maximum power just when you are pedaling hardest. The more you pedal, the more power will be provided.
The energy delivery of this new motor is instantaneous, quiet and extremely sensitive to your effort, so natural that it will encourage you to keep pedaling.

As no rider is the same and everyone has their own needs, Rise has two pre-configured RS power profiles, Profile 1 and Profile 2, which can be adjusted in seconds with Shimano's E-tube app.

AUTONOMY RS

Rise features a modular battery solution that delivers up to 612 Wh, combining a very light and compact 360 Wh main battery integrated into the down tube with a patent pending 252 Wh range extender.
The RS concept allows you to spend great days in the saddle, because the lightest bike, the lowest energy consumption and of course the weight and pedal-friendly assistance extend the battery life by more than 1,5 times. This means that the Rise's 360 Wh RS battery allows
to have an autonomy similar to a 540 Wh battery of a traditional eBike.
The 2,2kg main battery is probably one of the lightest and thinnest on the market.
Housed in a rugged and reliable alloy case, this power source is based on the newest Tesla 21700 cells, which provide faster charge and discharge rates and ultimately much better battery life and heat management.
Our Range Extender RS ​​provides you with 252 Wh of extra energy (70%). The addition of the Range Extender RS ​​offers riding times comparable to a 900 Wh battery on a normal ebike. It's 8 hours and over 4.000m of elevation gain in Eco mode.

RS INTERFACE

The elegance of simplicity is undeniable. Many cyclists spend hours removing excess weight, noise and visual distractions from their bikes. We have started collecting data with cycle computers and smartphones, but we often reject large displays on the handlebar or tube
horizontal.
With a traditional ebike, displays, sensors, extra cables and large illuminated buttons are standard and unavoidable. For us, the option of the traditional, clean and tidy bicycle is a fundamental aspect of the RS philosophy.
The RS interface is elegant, but not without expandability.

The simplest configuration consists of a discreet switch near the left brake lever, to control the level of assistance, and one
small inline junction box with two tiny LEDs, providing support mode information and intelligently transmit data wireless.
The bike power button is located at the bottom of the seat tube and the wiring is internal.
The charging point is located on the side of the seat tube. Covered by a sealed mask that protects it from water and mud, it includes a locking system that blocks the Range Extender cable once connected.

In addition, we have also developed a unique tool, which adapts the Garmin IQ ecosystem to our ebike RS platform, so that we have all the data we want in our favorite cycle computer or smartwatch.

WEIGHT RS

The RS system, motor, battery and electronics are significantly lighter than other ebikes, resulting in a weight of 16,2kg for the M LTD model and 17,5kg for the M Team. Part of the weight savings comes from the unique power delivery of the RS system.
Quick changes of direction and fun riding aren't usually associated with eBikes, but the Rise embraces "conventional wisdom" and the result is much like your favorite trail bike.
In the manufacture of the Rise we applied the same ultralight construction techniques as Occam and Rallon, thus creating one of the lightest eMTB frames on the market, with its 2,3 kg OMR carbon.
