On the strength of its important background in technology and innovation, which is arousing interest all over the world, the launch of the futuristic Neox e-bike, completely made in Italy, has also begun in Italy. The result of five years of research and design and 4 international patents filed, it can rightly be defined as unique in the world because it was “born electric”. But the beauty is that you can't see it.
Cities clogged with traffic, increasing difficulties in finding a parking space: now mobility, urban and otherwise, increasingly requires sustainable alternatives, but also comfortable, elegant and in tune with modernity.
For some years also in Italy, lagging behind Europe, especially in the north, one of the most accredited responses seems to be the e-bike, otherwise defined as “pedal assisted bicycle”, or in international technical jargon “pedelec”. Bikes that use an electric motor to support the effort normally required by pedaling, with the concept of obtaining the maximum result with the minimum effort. This is how a series of e-bikes were born that “conspicuously” mount electric motors and gearboxes, produced by third parties, assembled in a visible and unsightly way and, in some cases, with a gearbox concept that does not allow for smooth pedaling. From the detection of these gaps, a group of entrepreneurs from the Veneto region, passionate about cycling and technological innovation, has devised a new e-bike concept conceived, from scratch, to be electric. The Neox project, a brand of Siral, a company specialized in eco-technological production and research, was born 5 years ago with the aim of creating an electric bike from scratch without using other people's "prostheses", but above all starting from some technological innovations that make it unique in the world. A concept that was based on 4 international patents, concerning the gearbox, the engagement system, the torque sensor and the neutral position. The aesthetics are also innovative, capable of concealing the motor, gearbox and other trappings - inserted as a whole in a single single arm - with an elegant and extremely “clean” design. The result is an unexpectedly electric bike with great appeal. Fluid in the electric assistance and in the change of gears and with an enormous logistical advantage: the possibility of being able to remove both wheels in three seconds of the clock, to load it easily even in a small car. All without even having to get your hands dirty, since all the transmission is hidden inside the structure.
Elegant, comfortable and safe, this e-bike 2.0 is useful for moving, effortlessly and without getting dirty, from one end of the city to the other, but also for a galvanizing “country” ride. Even those who are not trained can thus live the galvanizing experience of "flying" on a bicycle covering long distances, even on slopes, without having to pay the price in terms of lactic acid or various pains the next day.
Technical characteristics: because it is one of a kind
The innovative concept, unique in the world, which is the basis of Neox's invention lies in the electronic sequential rotary gearbox, with gearbox system directly integrated into the assistance engine.
An innovative system, which avoids the transverse movements of traditional gearboxes, guaranteeing total fluidity in the change of gears and in the pedaling aid, which takes place constantly and continuously, without any “jerk” or “push” effect. The whole system is constantly monitored by an effort sensor with torque detection between the primary and secondary gears.
Last but not least, Neox mounts an anti-theft device, which can be activated with a Pin code, which works by locking the mechanical system and putting the e-bike in neutral. Ideal for drinking a coffee or an aperitif without having to chain the bike, with the certainty that any attacker, in this way, would find himself spinning the cranks "empty", not being able to transmit the motion.
The e-bike is guaranteed for 5 years and allows you to benefit from assistance by simply unhooking and sending the single arm containing the entire electro-mechanical transmission system.
