Women's MTB World Championship 2022: Martina Berta heir to Lechner

Sunday 28th August the Cross Country races start, both U23 and Elite. Let's get to know the favorites of the women's Elite race.

The favorite seems to be Loana Lecomte, winner of the European MTB title a few days ago. To keep an eye on the expert Pauline Ferrand Prevot, who finished the European Championship in 2nd place. Jolanda Neff had shown Mont Sainte Anne that she was back, but she did not shine at the European Championship. However, she remains among the favorites. At home in Italy, we hope for a good performance by Martina Berta who has already conquered some important top 10 in the last rounds of the World Cup. World champion Evie Richards will be at the start but this year was not her vintage: various back problems they kept her out of competition. Jenny Rissveds will not be at the start for a cold in Mont Sainte Anne. Too bad because she was one of the favorites.

LIVE ELITE RACE

On Rai Sport, channel 58 of digital terrestrial, we could see the Elite races clearly. We remind you that Raisport can also be watched on the web (free of charge upon registration) on the site Raiplay.

Another option is the website of theteam (in French) via free live web: LIVE LINK. It only accepts users from France so you have to use a VPN to get around that limitation.

Another channel where you can follow the race will be Eurosport which will broadcast everything through Eurosport 2.

On RedBull.TV, in Italy, it will not be possible to see the World Cup due to territorial restrictions. However, if you are using a VPN, it is possible to circumvent this limitation. TO this link the event page with the nations allowed to view.

famac@famac.ind.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
