Welcome to the mountainous borders of Slovenia and Austria, and the first ROAMER TRAIL Rendezvous – a new series of MTB trips that invite you to discover new destinations, connect with people and places and act accordingly. It's not a race, it's a journey with a purpose: to socialize, discover and act to protect MTB territories. The first Rendezvous will take place from 29 September to 1 October.

ROAMER TRAIL is a journey, not a race. Riding, adventure and socializing with professional bikers, ambassadors, trail builders, amateurs, with the support of our event organization. No need to camp out at a bus stop, drink a warm can of beer or carry all your kit if you don't want to. However you choose to ride, everyone arrives at the same base camp every night. In 3 days of pure MTB, you will ride through fantastic singletrack, inside abandoned mines and lush forests and in remote villages. This is a multi-day mountain bike ride that further explores natural landscapes and connects with other riders and locals who have created a history of synergy between conservation and recreation in this piece of the Alps.
At fizik we believe that the choice to ride a bike and the communities around the bike foster positive change. Mountain biking is a great example of how this isn't just a sport, it's a lifestyle that extends our time off the saddle and transforms us into a force for good. ROAMER TRAIL – a three-day nomadic adventure – captures all of this: it goes beyond running, connecting people and places, sharing stories. He is a fantastic guide coupled with purpose. We just joined the movement and can't wait to start shooting – Giovanni Fogal, Brand Manager of fizik.
ROAMER is a movement; the chance to be part of something bigger. Shared outdoor experiences are the heart and soul of bikepacking, which ROAMER delivers fully loaded. We aimed to create an adventure for all levels: ROAMER balances challenge and comfort, escape and social, touring and conservation. Hopefully, the term “date” highlights the relaxed and social side of ROAMER – Stef Amato, Presenter, ROAMER and Pannier.cc
The local history of the first Rendezvous
Nestled in the rural heart of Koroška-Kärnten is a special village – Jamnica – where a group of mountain bikers and local guides have developed a trail network that has connected valleys, communities and villages, even lifestyles. Jamnica is not only a tool of socio-economic benefit in a less discovered part of the European Alps, but a super story for the synergy between conservation and recreation; a place you must visit and enjoy. ROAMER TRAIL also includes a whole morning on the trails of the EWS and the longest flow-trail in the EU.
Vibram is always looking for new good ways to enjoy the outdoors and partnering with ROAMER allows us to explore even deeper into the rapidly growing off-road cycling subculture, which blends different mountain bike disciplines with a sense of adventure and the desire to share experiences with the community, in direct connection with the outdoor territories at the local level – Jerome Bernard, Sport Innovation Marketing Global Director, Vibram
An experience with a purpose
In addition to discovering and connecting with people and places, there is a third pillar of ROAMER. We must take action, for our magical trails and for the communities at the heart of their construction and maintenance. Each edition of ROAMER will see us partner with organizations working in the world of mountain biking: global scope, local action. Both IMBA (International Mountain Bike Association) and Trash Free Trails are doing great things, so we are happy to support them in getting more people on their bikes and leaving as few trails as possible.
Human-powered sports communities are at the heart of Patagonia. We are committed to protecting the places where we can have fun, share stories and feed ourselves. Partnering with our friends at ROAMER TRAIL gives us the opportunity to explore the Austrian and Slovenian Alps, connect with local communities and learn about the environmental and social issues they face, as we hit some of Europe's best trails – Jelle Mul, Senior Marketing Manager, Patagonia EMEA
