The Melavì Valtellina Ebike Festival confirms its winning formula made up of excursions, food and wine and a festive atmosphere, together with many new features, starting with the dates: the festival moves to spring and more precisely to Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May.

The location of the event is always Morbegno, a beautiful medieval town on the outskirts of Valtellina, as soon as Lake Como is passed. The festival will therefore have the role of opening the cycle tourism season of a territory in great evolution and which is preparing to host the next Olympics. Registration for the initiatives is already open on the official website of the event.
Morbegno is the center of a spectacular trail network that branches off on the Orobic and Rhaetian slopes, offering the possibility of making tours of all levels of difficulty: from very easy excursions to the valley floor and among the terraced vineyards, up to the pastoral routes that reach the pastures or still on alpine recommended only for mountain bike experts. For this reason, everyone can find initiatives suited to their level of ability, with the certainty of visiting the great natural beauty of the area within enchanted valleys. The common thread is food and wine, with stages of taste to discover the most authentic flavors of Valtellina cuisine.
The format of the new edition provides for the confirmation of the Festival Ride, the great 40-kilometer all-mountain tour on a super panoramic route (revisited for 2023) which saw the participation of more than 250 enthusiasts in the last edition. Gusto di Valtellina has also been confirmed, a food and wine itinerary with little difference in height interspersed with tasting stops in prestigious locations, and the Val Masino and Enchanted Forest excursion, which leads to the discovery of one of the most beautiful naturalistic places in Italy and which last year it sold out in just a few days.
There is no shortage of more adrenaline-pumping initiatives such as the Trail Experience (non-competitive enduro tour) on a new captivating route that also includes a lunch and fun moments in the company of the local Alpine troops. And, to close with another great novelty for 2023, the festival will host a stage of the e-Enduro: the most important Italian racing circuit will give all its members the opportunity to compete on the most demanding trails of the Orobie Alps.
Registration for the initiatives is open on the website www.valtellinaebikefestival.com with a promotional price for those who book before the end of February. For those without it, it is also possible to request the rental of one of the more than 100 ebikes available directly on site.
The event, which has grown steadily in recent years, is supported by Melavì, an excellence of Valtellina which brings together over 300 apple growers in the area, Met Helmets, a world leader in the design and production of helmets and protective devices for cycling which Morbegno has its headquarters, as well as from all the main institutions in the area such as the Lombardy Region, the Province of Sondrio, BIM Adda and the Municipality of Morbegno. Partner for tracking the tours is komoot, a mobile application that allows you to follow the best cycling routes in a guided way.
The organizers include Mondo Ebike, a mega-store focused on the sale of electric bicycles, Days Off, a marketing agency specializing in outdoor activities and 360 Valtellina Bike, an association that deals with the restoration of ancient routes and the maintenance of the footpaths in the lower Valtellina.
The fulcrum of the Valtellina Ebike Festival will be the eBike Village located in a large square close to the historic centre. This will be the starting and finishing point of all the activities and competitions but also an exhibition area where you can see and test the new e-bikes, participate in electric car test drives, attend freestyle bmx shows and much more .
