The new route further expands the offer of the Molveno Zone, and is characterized as one of the easiest in the entire Dolomiti Paganella Bike Area. But the limited difficulty shouldn't suggest a low threshold for fun. In fact, on the Matrix trail, the local team of trail builders applied all their experience gained over years of work on local trails.
On a length of 2,2 km with an average width of 130 cm, we find the most classic expressions of flow passages, with connected curves and switchbacks with wide banks. But that's not all, and it couldn't be otherwise for a route that aims to stimulate every biker's hunger for fun. In fact, along the trail there are some optional passages of various levels, so that even the most prepared enthusiasts can appreciate it: small jumps in the first section, but above all a couple of adrenaline-pumping features in the final stretch, including an exciting hip!
But the real distinctive feature of the Matrix Trail, the one that will amply repay those who have chosen the red pill, is the presence of a North Shore, the longest artificial wooden structure in the Dolomiti Paganella Bike Area: a good 100 linear metres, all built with the material obtained from the construction works of the forest, 100% sustainable.
Where and when
The Matrix trail starts from the Pian del Piof area, in the Molveno Zone, about 100 meters before the conclusion of the Blade Runner trail and the start of the Goonies, one of the most popular with Flow Trail lovers of the Trentino destination.
It develops in a forest of beech and fir trees, up to the locality of Genzianella, with the possibility of continuing on one side towards Andalo or on the other towards Molveno, reaching both destinations in a few minutes and with a minimum pedaled altitude difference. to start over with the carousel of mountain bike fun.
